UPCOMING EVENTS

Inviting visitors to our campus is one of the many community-minded components of Riley’s mission. We are fortunate enough to spend our days in the lovely fields and woods purchased and established by our school’s founder, Glenna Wade Plaisted. Glenna felt that every child would thrive in a school that prioritized outdoor play and a connection to nature alongside an academic education and, every day, we hold true to that philosophy. Come and see us!

100+ Women Who Care

Wednesday, December 4, 2024 @ 5:30pm

Riley is excited to join with Camden Hills Partners to host a dynamic group of women who are deeply invested in our Midcoast community.

At each meeting, any participant can nominate a nonprofit she personally wants to speak about. Three women are then randomly selected to speak for no longer than 5 minutes about her nonprofit. After presentations, all present participants secretly vote via ballot on which nonprofit to support. Each woman receives 1 vote whether registered as single or pooled. The nonprofit with the most votes receives all the proceeds for that meeting.

Join us in our lovely theater for this fabulous event! Learn more here.

Winter Productions

Thursday, December 12 & Friday, December 13, 2024 @ 5pm

Join us for an evening of comedy and a drama! Our students are so excited to present two 1-act plays: Laffin' School and Boxes.

In Laffin' School, Miss Quackenbush arrives at the Little Red Schoolhouse to substitute for a teacher who has had a nervous breakdown. She finds the dumbest but funniest class she has ever taught, and hilarity ensues!

Boxes is a drama about coping with the expectations of others in which Jack receives a box as a birthday present, which is soon filled by the expectations of his friends, families, and teachers. The heavier Jack’s box gets, the more burdened he feels by it — and the more Jack considers following his friend’s advice to throw the box away. Join us for a fun night of children's theater!

Productions are always free for Riley families. Members of our greater community can purchase tickets via PayPal for $5. Just scan one of the QR codes to the right.

Maine Maple Sunday

Sunday, March 23, 2025 | 10am-4pm

As proud members of the Maine Maple Producers Association, our Riley Gold syrup will be ready and waiting for this event! Bring the whole family and snack on maple sugar cotton candy while browsing our Scholastic Book Fair, meeting our farm animals, and more.

Although we are dog lovers, our farm animals sometimes do not agree, so please — no dogs at our events. Thank you!
