Lindsay’s roots are from Matinicus Island where she lived as a young child surrounded by multi generations on both her mother and father's sides. She spent most of her days as a young child exploring the tides and the island coast. This is where her pure love of nature stemmed from and she is always eager to share the beauty of the outdoors with our youngest children at Riley.

Lindsay was educated at New England College and University of Maine in Art with a ceramics and photography minor. Lindsay came to Riley in 2009 where she was hired by our Founder of The Riley School: Glenna Wade Plaisted. She started as an assistant working in the Lower School classroom and also spent a few years facilitating ceramics. Lindsay then was offered the opportunity to bring back black and white photography and spent several years with the children working on how to process film and images in the darkroom. After the birth of her son,  Lindsay remembered how much Glenna wanted to re- launch an early childhood program here at Riley and founded the highly successful and licensed Wade Acres program. Lindsay has been accepted into the Maine AEYC T.E.A.C.H. Program where she is currently pursuing a specialized degree in Early Childhood.

When Lindsay is not at Riley she is operating The M.W. Island Transport Fund that was inspired by her father and the need for medical transportation of fellow islanders off of Midcoast, Maine. Lindsay always finds herself going back to explore the tides of the island coast where she resides on Matinicus full-time in the summer months with her husband Bryce and their son Grady.
